Hours: Full-Time worker
The goal is to provide services to families with children from the prenatal period to kindergarten (up to 5 years old) focusing on the center of the evidence home-visit program. To promote the optimal early development, learning and health of children by supporting and engaging their parents and caregivers.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide home visits to each family at least 2-3 times a month.
- Assets families and develop goals with the families.
- Attend to the “Evidence Program” training. Follow all requirements stated on this training without any deviation. These requirements cover affiliate leadership, staffing, services to families, and evaluation.
- Provide direct services, including case assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention to families.
- Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate services required to meet families’ need.
- Network, refer, and advocate on behalf of clients in order to ensure appropriate prenatal and post-natal period.
- Work in collaboration with other social service and health and human service agencies for assisting Latina families.
- Maintain an excellent relationship with other organizations and networks in the community.
- Attend all appropriate client-related, administrative, and clinical meeting.
- Data entry and updates of all the services and screenings.
- Complete ASQ 3, ASQ-SE2 and other child screening forms as required by the program.
- Complete PICCOLO and LSP assessments.
- Provide a high-quality services delivery.
- Maintain (and sign LAH Confidentiality Agreement) full confidentiality of the records and home visits.
- Demonstrate commitment to the agency and program mission.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Competencies Required:
- Education: High School or GED diploma, 2 years plus work experience in a community-based agency with young children / families.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English, bicultural or have knowledge about the cultural values and special needs of Latino population living in the greater Boston area.
- Great interpersonal skills with emphasis on both verbal and written abilities to communicate effectively.
- Ability to multitask, strong attention to details, organize, work within a team approach environment and self-motivated to work independently.
- Flexibility and willingness to assist and work with staff and volunteers in other areas in order to ensure quality of service and accomplish overall goals/objectives.
- MUST keep information confidential.
- Computer knowledge in Microsoft Software and basic computer knowledge.
- Organized, detail oriented and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to facilitate, monitor and document group events, family’s feedback as well as group interaction.
- Willingness to learn and participate in improving quality of services and efficiency by attending safety trainings, seminars and other staff development opportunities as needed.
- Driving their own car is a plus but required.
