Marisol Amaya
Executive Director
Marisol´s strong knowledge of the Latino Community guided her to work for La Alianza Hispana. In May 2000 she joined the organization as the Adult Day Health and Senior Center Program Director where she re-organized and transformed the program receiving the Community and leadership Award from the Northeastern University and NASDA 2nd place at National level for more unique services and best cultural acceptable Adult Daycare program. Following this, she was selected as the new Executive Director of LAH on October 7, 2013. Marisol has a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Boston University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Bacteriology with concentration in Microbiology graduating with Cum Laude honors. Marisol has certifications in Healthcare in Developing Countries, Management Methods for International Health and Suicide Prevention among older adults from Boston University and Master Trainer of Chronic Diseases, Stanford University. She is Bilingual, (Spanish & English). As Executive Director at La Alianza, she utilized all her knowledge and training to rescue the agency from the most severe economic crisis in generations guiding the organization to the road of financial recovery. Her goal is to empower individuals and families, strengthen our communities and help develop the new leaders of the future generations. Her purpose is to serve as an example for women in our communities to help them realize their fullest potential. Marisol participated in the HEALTH CARE FOR ALL campaign, 2015. She works hard to make possible that all members of society receive health care services. She believes that in order to be healthy, people should have access to a healthy diet, safe places to live, walk, play and a access to good education. Marisol is also an active member of the State Tax Force on Economic Opportunities, Advisor of My Brother’s Keeper, Greater Boston Latino Network, Latinas Represent and MASDA (Massachusetts Adult Service Day Association), Award winner of NFL Hispanic Heritage leadership, finalist for the nonprofit excellence award in leadership and Next Generation of Executive, class of 2016 and Mother of three lovely girls. Franklin Ramirez
Finance Director
Franklin was born and raised in The Dominican Republic. He moved to Boston with his family looking for higher quality education for his kids. Franklin has been working for the organization since 2010, he inittilally started as an accountant and in 2014 became the Finance Director. He was instrumental in the outstanding financial recovery of La Alianza Hispana. Franklin worked as an Accountant and Internal Auditor in Dominican Republic for several years, he has a Bachelor Degree in Science Accounting and Auditing from University Pedro Henríquez Ureña in Dominican Republic; He has certifications in Accounting Non-Profit, Internal Audit, Product Cost, Labor Cost, Accounting System, MS Office, and Agriculture Accounting. Vivian Pera
Contracts Manager
Vivian arrived to the USA (1975) as a political refugee from Cuba with her husband and kids. With a background in Human Services and Health Care, she started to work managing a medical office, later on worked in the insurance field. She acquired six licenses and a Medical Interpreter certification. Vivian came to Massachusetts to accompany her daughter to attend college and she fell in love with Massachusetts, it was “love at first sight” as she called. She was looking towards the retirement and dedicate some time for herself when she received a phone call from a friend asking if she could work in the office of La Alianza Hispana for a few weeks to help them organize some records, Vivian said, yes, it was August 27, 2012. Today, February 2018 she stills working for La Alianza Hispana. She believes that this is a very special place where you share your experiences with the community and feel that we are all one. Julieta Crespo
Program Director (Adult Day Health Care)
Julieta was born and raised in México, she has a degree in International Relations from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, a major in International Organizations, and a MBA from La Universidad de La Rioja in Spain. She specializes in Project Management and Finances. Julieta worked for 5 years as a Retail Execution coordinator with vast experience in branding, cross-functional teams, and customer services. She uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to realize their fullest potential. Frangeli Ramirez Reyes
Program Director (Madres y Ninos en Proceso)
Frangeli Ramirez Reyes is a Bilingual Program Director at La Alianza Hispana. Before this position she had worked at Boston Children’s Hospital as an Administrative Assistance in the Gastroenterology department. Frangeli has graduated from Berklee College of Music with a major in Contemporary Dance with a minor in Business Management in May 2020. Throughout her years she has volunteered for many organizations like La Alianza Hispana, Tenacity, Cradles to Crayons, Spontaneous Celebrations, Red Cross, Women’s Lunch Place, Hale House, and many other organizations. Frangeli has dedicated her life to helping the community in any way she could. For her immense work, she received the 2016 Youth Action Award from the former Boston Mayor, Martin Walsh. Isabel Villela
Case Manager
Isabel moved from Guatemala to Boston in October 27, 1989. She began to work in the human services field since December 14. 1989. She worked as a group supervisor and quality assurance at a non-profit organization, at that time named Center House Inc. in 1998 she attended La Alianza Hispana (LAH) for an intensive course of computer classes, at the same time she was engaged in a volunteer program at LAH for eight months. In December 14, 1998 Isabel started working at LAH as a full-time employee at the Latino Counseling center (LFCC). She worked as an Intake coordinator and a case manager of a Parent Mentor Program and a facilitator of Art Therapy group for the elders at LAH. While working at the LFCC, Isabel Villela attended Cambridge College where she obtained her Bachelor Degree in Human Services (2010). Maria A. Reyes
Case Manager
Maria Reyes is a Billingual Case Manager in La Alianza Hispana since June 2021. She graduated in 1997 from Instituto Técnico Superior Mercy Jácquez with a Bachelor in Fashion Design. Ms. Reyes moved to The United States from Dominican Republic in 2013 and has continued to increase her knowledge in different areas she is interested in. As she got comfortable in a new country, there were many opportunities for her to continue her education. Maria has many certificates in Matter of Balance, Tomando Control de su Salud, Tai JI Quan, Nursing Assistant (CAN), Culinary Arts, Customer Service, and TGH Instructor Training. In addition to Maria’s certificates, she went back to school and completed her second Bachelor on Early Childhood Education in 2021. Yolanda Leiva
Case Manager
Yolanda Leiva works as a Case Manager at la Alianza Hispana. Originally from Peru, Yolanda emigrated to the United States in 2004. Yolanda trained as a Medical Interpreter (English/Spanish) and studied Tourism and Hospitality at the University of San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru. She loves to help people and has volunteered in different organizations around Boston. She volunteered at Oiste? Latinas for Change, the first statewide Latino civic education and advocacy organization in the state. Yolanda took a leadership class and presented a winning project concerning the environment in her neighborhood, and spoke at the State House in Boston in front of diverse Boston authorities in 2012 making positive changes in her community. In 2013, she volunteered at JPNDC organizing the Bromley-Heath Election Committee, volunteered at Children’s Hospital, Hyde Square Main Streets, "Step up"program at Primark 2018-2019, and volunteered at Cradles to Crayons. In 2019 she completed an Internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital as a Spanish Interpreter. Yolanda combines the love for her family with the love of helping others. Sandra Sanchez
Case Manager
Sandra has dedicated more than 5 years to work with children who have developmental difficulties from new-born to adolescents. As she worked with children more often, she wanted to share her skills with vulnerable communities and that opportunity came this year at La Alianza Hispana. Born and raised in Puebla Mexico, Sandra got her bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2014) and a master’s degree in Neuropsychological Diagnostic and Rehabilitation (2018), both from Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. Other certifications include Child Neuropsychology (2015), Child Psychotherapy (2019) and most recently a Certification for the Detection and Differential Diagnostic of the autism spectrum disorder (2022). Sandra has had the opportunity to work in multiple child attention centers as the lead neuropsychologist planning interdisciplinary intervention programs focused on the needs of the families and the children.
